Compliance Consultant

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Compliance Consultant is responsible for executing and supporting Compliance Services deliverables across client accounts, including implementation support, compliance-related tasks, data validation, and service execution. This role serves as a key individual contributor within the Compliance Services team, ensuring that work is completed accurately, on time, and in alignment with regulatory and internal standards.

 

This position plays a critical role in supporting implementation success, ongoing service delivery, and retention outcomes by delivering consistent, high-quality compliance work. The Compliance Consultant partners with internal stakeholders to support execution and contributes to the overall effectiveness and reliability of the Compliance Services function.

 

Primary outcome: Deliver accurate, timely, and consistent Compliance Services work that supports implementation success, service delivery, and client retention.

 

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY (What the role owns):

  • Execution of Compliance Services deliverables across assigned clients
  • Support of implementation, onboarding, and service activities
  • Data validation, auditing, and compliance-related processing
  • Ownership of assigned work items and deliverables
  • Documentation and record-keeping for compliance activities
  • Identification and escalation of issues, risks, or inconsistencies
  • Contribution to process improvement and execution efficiency

 

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES (What the leader does to delivery results):

Compliance Services Execution

Execute assigned compliance tasks accurately and on time

Support recurring deliverables, reporting, and compliance-related activities

Ensure all work aligns with regulatory requirements and internal standards

 

Implementation & Client Support

  • Support implementation and onboarding activities for Compliance Services
  • Assist with client-related deliverables and ensure timely follow-through
  • Provide updates and visibility on assigned work

 

Data & Quality Assurance

  • Validate data for accuracy and completeness
  • Identify discrepancies and perform necessary corrections
  • Ensure all deliverables meet quality and documentation standards

 

Documentation & Process Discipline

  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation for all work
  • Follow established workflows, procedures, and service standards
  • Support consistency and repeatability across processes

 

Issue Identification & Escalation

  • Identify risks, issues, or delays early
  • Escalate concerns appropriately to management
  • Support resolution of issues as needed

 

Team Collaboration

  • Partner with team members and cross-functional stakeholders to meet deliverables
  • Contribute to team success through reliable execution and communication

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • 3–6+ years of experience in compliance, benefits administration, EDI, implementation, or related operations
  • Experience in insurance, benefits, or insurtech environments preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Life & Health license preferred or required
